How It Works
When charged into a DE-style filter, cellulose fibers knit together to form a porous “cake” on the grids. This cake acts like a microscopic net, trapping fine debris and adsorbing oily droplets that sand and DE often miss. The result: clearer, brighter water without the greasy surface sheen.

Best Practices for Oil Control:
Watch pressure: Backwash or clean when pressure rises +10 psi—the cake is working.
Skip clarifiers/polymers: They can gum up the cake. For heavy oils (spray tans, sunscreen parties), use enzymes or a skimmer sock between recharges.
Recharge regularly: Treat it the same as DE after each cleaning.
